Report Card

This morning, the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce released the State Report Card results for the 2024-2025 school year, and we are proud to share that Maplewood Local Schools earned a 4.5 out of 5-star rating as a district! Both our elementary and high school buildings also received a 4.5 rating, showcasing the strength of our entire school community.

These results are a reflection of the hard work and dedication of our students, staff, and families. The State Report Card measures schools in several key areas, and Maplewood’s performance highlights our commitment to excellence:

  • Achievement: We significantly exceeded state standards in overall academic performance on state tests.

  • Progress: We met student growth expectations, demonstrating meaningful academic gains.

  • Gap Closing: We significantly exceeded state standards in closing educational gaps, ensuring all students have equitable opportunities for success.

  • Graduation: We exceeded state standards with strong four-year and five-year graduation rates.

  • Early Literacy: We exceeded state standards in early literacy, showing strong growth and proficiency for our K-3 students.

  • College, Career, Workforce, and Military Readiness: We are preparing our students for life beyond graduation, equipping them with the skills needed to thrive in their futures.

Superintendent Kevin O’Connell shared, “These results show the incredible effort of our students, staff, and families working together. We are proud of the growth we continue to see and the strong academic foundation we are building for every Maplewood student.”

At Maplewood Local Schools, we remain committed to helping all students achieve their potential and preparing them for bright futures. We thank our teachers, families, and community for supporting this mission.
