Last week, Maplewood Elementary hosted its first annual 6th Grade Promotion Ceremony! We were delighted to welcome the families and friends of the Class of 2032 to celebrate this significant milestone as our students conclude their elementary journey. The ceremony was followed by a lovely reception where guests mingled, captured memories at the photo stations, and enjoyed sweet treats. It was a truly wonderful evening honoring a very special group of Rockets! ππ

Our 4th graders put their creativity and engineering skills to the test during their annual STEM Egg Drop Challenge! π₯π
On Thursday, May 7, students designed and built their own egg protection devices to see if their egg could survive a 30-foot bucket truck drop. This hands-on activity is always a student favorite, and this year we had 20 surviving eggs!
Great job to all of our young engineers for their hard work, problem-solving, and creativity!

Mrs. Stuartβs 1st graders turned learning into something delicious today! π₯
After writing their very own βhow-toβ texts on making pancakes, students got to bring their instructions to life in the best way possibleβby making and eating them! From measuring ingredients to flipping pancakes, they practiced following directions, sequencing steps, and teamwork.
Safe to sayβ¦ their writing (and cooking!) skills are on point. And yesβthe pancakes were a big hit!
