🚀 Rockets in the Kitchen!

Mrs. Krieg's Kindergarten class had an exciting week comparing and contrasting different versions of the classic story Stone Soup. Today, they wrapped up their lesson by making their very own batch of soup to enjoy!

Each student brought in an ingredient and helped build the recipe… and yes, they even added a real stone! The final result was absolutely delicious — earning two thumbs up from every Rocket!

Our first graders had a wonderful time celebrating together at their Thanksgiving Feast! Their smiles say it all

Our 8th graders had an exciting learning experience today as they toured Dinesol Plastics in Niles! Students got an inside look at the manufacturing process and learned how everyday products are made right here in our community.

🎈 Balloons, Books, and Big Imagination! 🎈
Miss Klase’s kindergarteners had a blast exploring the magic of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade! After reading Balloons Over Broadway and watching highlights from the parade, our young learners designed and created their very own parade balloons.

Our annual Maplewood Rockets Cornhole Tournament wrapped up last week, and the competition was out of this world! 🚀🎯

Our students, Keeley Carnes and Jenna Kuhn, participated in the 40th Annual Trumbull County Civic Day this afternoon! A big thank-you to Trumbull County Central District Court Judge Thomas Campbell for taking the time to meet with our students and teach them about the judicial system.

🎃 We had plenty of Halloween fun around both of our buildings! 👻

At the high school, our students lined the halls to pass out candy to our preschoolers, smiles and sweet treats everywhere! 🍬 Over at MES, classrooms were filled with festive activities and spooky fun.

Join us November 10–15 as we celebrate living a healthy, drug-free life with themed spirit days all week long!

📅 Spirit Week Themes:
🔴 Monday: Kick off Red Ribbon Week by wearing red!
👯‍♀️ Tuesday: Double down against drugs — find a partner and dress as your favorite duo!
🌺 Wednesday: “Catch the wave to a drug-free life” — wear your Hawaii attire!
🧦 Thursday: Rockets are crazy about safety — wear your craziest socks!
💙 Friday: TEAM up against drugs — wear your best Rocket gear to support TEAM and Red Ribbon Week!

📸 MHS Grades 7–12 Picture Retake Day is Tuesday, November 11!

If you’d like a retake, please bring the original photo package you ordered.
Anyone who missed the original picture day can also get their photo taken.
Order forms are available in the office. The retake code for online orders is 0120FWD.

🏀 Winter Sports pictures will also be taken after school that day.
Separate order forms for sports photos will be provided by coaches.

Congratulations to all of our Maplewood Cross Country athletes and coaches. Last weekend at the state championships our girls finished in 8th place,and were lead by Mackenzie Edgar who finished the race 17th overall. The boys team, paced by Andrew Donaldson, finished in 6th place. Proud to be a rocket!
